Seven snaps for seven days - twenty two

Spent the week at the seaside, staying at my parents. Lovely colours whilst wandering along.

Colours and textures on the doors of the chalets.

Seaside treat. Fish and chips sat outside in the drizzle!

Beautiful sunset over the sand dunes.

After three days of rain the sun came out! Lovely blue sky and orange lichen on the roofs of the buildings.

A spot of relaxing. Starting a new book and sewing up parts of my cabled cardigan.

This may look like some boring bendy twigs but it is actually very exciting. If you look closely you can see flower buds. This is the first time I have ever managed to get an orchid to flower for a second time.

  4. What lovely photos! I envy you your orchid, I never was able to get them to bloom a second time, despite my mother always telling me how easy it is (yeah, not helpful).

    1. Well, I have never found it easy either. The biggest buds are very nearly open!

  5. Wow, orchid success! My nannie always had amazing ones, she had the knack with them. It's great that you've got yours blooming again.

I can't wait to see your cardi!

    1. I would love to have a knack with them! The cardigan is very nearly there, bit of a delay in deciding on the buttons!

  6. How thoroughly fantastic that you recently got to "see the sea", dear Kate. I can scarcely wait to get to Vancouver and fill my lungs with the salt tinged Pacific air again come this Friday.

I loved your comment on today's outfit post, thank you! I swear, I was thinking the same thing about this dress while selecting and editing the photos featuring it. The cut, length, and neckline are all, if I may humbly say so, very flattering on me and I'd love to get more dresses (be they from the same Hell Bunny brand or others) that are strikingly similar in terms of those same features.

Is that a Persephone publication I spy there? I love their title list. x

    1. It was a lovely week thanks. It is a Persephone book, well spotted! Aren't they just marvellous?! I asked for several for my last birthday and Christmas and am really enjoying them. They just look beautiful too.
