A bit of a funny week so only four snaps instead of seven. Hoping for more in the next week.
Spending the afternoon with my sister and my niece, going for a walk to get a tired but determined not to give in to it baby to go to sleep.
My first ever toad-in-the-hole. I don't now how I have got to my mid thirties and have never made one! Good old Delia Smith How to Cook book!
This year's first goslings on the canal. I have been waiting for them to arrive. This pair of geese had nine babies.
A beautiful fashion illustration found on the wall of the Ladies in Bettys in Harrogate. Meeting a friend there always involves tea and a fat rascal at Bettys.
I love Betty's, I am long overdue a visit there! Your toad in the hole looks splendid, it's such a yummy dish. Whenever I made it I always wonder why I don't make it more often. x
ReplyDeleteThanks, toad in the hole will definitely be featuring again. I hope you get to Bettys soon!
DeleteYou can see the determination not to go to sleep in your niece's tiny clenched fist!
ReplyDeleteYou can, can't you? I think she has fear of missing out!
DeleteYum!!! Toad-in-the-hole is awesome! I really got hooked on it when we were living in Ireland. It might be a slight deviation from the original, but I especially liked adding some sharp cheddar (or similar cheese) and spring/green onions to mine.
