Here are the seven snaps that represent my week.
Packing up Christmas 2013 and turning cards into gift tags for Christmas 2014. A good recycling tip!
Moonlight and sunset whilst walking my dog by the seaside.
Big skies and silhouettes of grasses at sunset by the coast.
Elevenses chat with my parents, great uncle and cousin's husband (cousin-in-law?). Covering lots of fascinating new to me family history, followed up later in the day with my granny, aunt and uncle. Several family history jigsaw pieces have now slotted together!
Big skies at the beach. Sand dunes in the process of forming in the foreground.
I finished a book that I got from my sister for Christmas. It is by Jennifer Purcell and is a social history book. It was very interesting, but not the best of that genre that I have read. I wanted more of the featured women's own voices, more extracts from their diaries.
One of my favourite dressed from a Dior exhibition that I went to with friends. I have lots more pictures of the lovely dresses to share so I will be doing a separate post on this.
Great first week of photos, look forward to next week's, and look forward to the dresses!
ReplyDeleteGetting the Dior dresses sorted out. I took a lot of photos!
DeleteA Dior exhibit! I'd be in heaven. I must also say how grand those sky pictures are. Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt was fabulous Joanna, you would have loved it! Glad you liked the pictures.
DeleteSuch lovely, diverse glimpses into your week. I'm smitten with the sky at the beach and the Dior dress in particular. Both are immensely beautiful in different ways.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs & happy Monday wishes,
♥ Jessica
It is very flat where my parents live and you get to see enormous uninterrupted skies that are just so pretty. I was glad to be able to capture one.
DeleteThis is a really lovely idea! It must've been daunting sharing that first post but it also must be a good feeling now that you've done it and you're onto the second week!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your next seven snaps :)
Thank you very much. You are right, I was pleased once I shared the first post and I am enjoying my project!
